This is a family house and romantic garden at Saint Dye sur Loire, a charming village on the edge of the Loire near Blois, 1 1/2 hours from Paris. The hosts speak fluent English and describe themselves as Americophiles! The house has been the family home since it was built in 1780, and the family has preserved the heritage of this ancestral home. Beatrice is an art historian and former guide. She is an expert on French history and will bring to life the people who inhabited the chateaux you will visit during your stay. This area is rich with sightseeing opportunities like nearby Chambord, one of the great chateaux of the Loire Valley. The hosts have bikes available for guests who want to ride through the park of Chambord. There are golf courses to enjoy and canoes can be rented locally.

Four-course dinner with wine available for guests staying two or more nights at approximately $28 per person. Features home grown produce and local ingredients.
